Spiel is a private dictation app for Apple Silicon Macs that helps people write faster by speaking instead of typing. Press your hotkey, speak, and Spiel turns your voice into text directly in the app you're using. It runs entirely on your Mac, so data never leaves your device.
Every dictation is also saved as a note for easy reference later. Spiel includes dictation styles, tone styles, per-app profiles, a personal dictionary, on-device cleanup, audio import, and usage insights. It is available as a one-time purchase direct from spiel.to, with a three-day free trial, and from the Mac App Store.
